Texas Archeological Society Newsletter Our quarterly newsletter provides both members and non members with important news and event information. It also includes short research reports from individuals and agencies. The Bulletin of the Texas Archeological Society (BTAS) is the Society’s flagship publication. The first volume was published in 1929 and has been published annually (except for 1944) ever since. BTAS is one of the oldest continuously published archeological journals in the US and since its inception has published articles by professional and avocational archeologists. Authors interested in submitting articles for publication should click here. Back issues of the BTAS can be found at the Portal to Texas History The current BTAS is available for members at the link below. Many reports on our annual summer field schools are published in the BTAS. Periodically, the Society also produces special publications with in-depth analyses and interpretation of field school investigations. We are working on uploading existing PDFs to our storefront. And some reports are available through other organizations. Visit the Special Publications page for more information.
